Ice Tsunami: 40 Feet Of Ice

Ice 2 Nature produces amazing albeit sometimes bizarre situations everyday across the world, and thankfully many are caught on film. One occurrence of a phenomenon in nature is an Ice Tsunami. Ice shoves are caused by ocean currents, strong winds, or temperature differences pushing ice onto the shore, creating piles up to 12 metres (40 feet) high. Some have described them as ‘ice tsunamis‘, but the phenomenon works like an iceberg.
